Yayasan Pendidikan XYZ dalam penerapan dan pengembangan Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK) memerlukan perencanaan, strategi dan dana yang sangat besar. Yayasan XYZ telah memiliki masterplan yang berisi rencana pengembangan TIK. Penggunaan TIK di Yayasan Pendidikan XYZ saat ini sudah cukup banyak dan berkembang dengan cepat. Hampir tiap unit dan bagian menggunakan SI/TI dalam membantu pelaksanaan proses pekerjaan, pembelajaran setiap hari, tetapi tidak ada keseragaman dan keteraturan dalam pengembangan yang ada. Kebanyakan pembangunan aplikasi tersebut tidak mempertimbangkan integrasi antar sistem, sehingga koordinasi pekerjaan, pengajaran antar unit dan bagian menjadi tidak optimal dan mengakibatkan terjadi duplikasi pekerjaan dimana mana. Dokumen masterplan harus ditindak lanjuti atau dilaksanakan, karena jika tidak dapat diibaratkan hanya sebagai wacana yang tidak memberikan nilai tambah bagi program pengembangan TIK bagi sebuah lembaga atau organisasi. Adapun metode yang akan dilakukan menggunakan metode Ward and Peppard dan tool yang akan digunakan untuk analisis, SWOT, PEST, untuk selanjutnya menentukan rencana strategis pengembangan infrastruktur jaringan TIK di lingkungan Yayasan Pendidikan XYZ rencana strategis terdiri dari tiga aspek yaitu kebijakan pengembangan infrastruktur jaringan TIK, program pengembangan infrastruktur TIK, dan program kompetensi sdm pengelola TIK.
