PERANCANGAN INTERIOR SAPHIRE BLUE SKY LOUNGE PADA BANDARA INTERNASIONAL KUALANAMU

Abstract

The airport is a type of air transportation in Indonesia. The airport makes it easy for someone to
be able to reach from one city to another. Existing facilities at the airport are quite complete and can
support prospective passengers before traveling. The availability of waiting room facilities such as
lounges as an airport service consists of VVIP (Very Very Important Person) intended for state officials
and VIP (Very Important Person) facility facilities commonly referred to as CIP (Commercial Important
Person). Saphire Blue Sky Lounge is one of the domestic lounges in International Kualanamu Airport,
precisely in the city of Medan, North Sumatra. This final project report aims to bring a cultural atmosphere
at the same time modern into the room. In compiling the writing of this report using direct and indirect
field research design methods, analytical techniques in the form of studies of activities and user needs,
space needs and relationships, elemental analysis, interior achievement and concept analysis, until the
design finally produces reports, technical drawings, 3D images, animations, and prototypes. The final
design creates an interior design concept with Modern Heritage nuances, including processing layouts &
alternative layouts, spatial elements, decoration aspects of selected furniture & design.
