Pengembangan Relai Adaptif Proteksi Busbar Menggunakan Relai Berbasis Protokol IEC61850

Kebutuhan manusia akan energi listrik bisa dikatakan mendekati kebutuhan primer. Sejalan dengan hal tersebut, PLN sebagai operator listrik di Indonesia, harus menjamin keandalan pasokan listrik. Upaya yang dilakukan adalah dengan memastikan tidak terjadinya gangguan meluas pada sistem penyaluran energi listrik. Gangguan pada busbar gardu induk yang belum terpasang proteksi busbar dapat menyebabkan gangguan meluas. Sesuai dengan Peraturan Menteri ESDM nomor 20 tahun 2020, seluruh busbar tegangan tinggi atau tegangan ekstratinggi yang tersambung ke jaringan transmisi harus dilengkapi dengan proteksi busbar. Penerapan dan pemasangan proteksi busbar membutuhkan biaya besar. Aspek biaya ini menyebabkan relai proteksi busbar belum 100% terpasang pada gardu induk yang dikelola oleh PLN. Salah satu contoh Gardu Induk yang belum terpasang relai Proteksi Busbar adalah Gardu Induk 70 kV Indramayu. Belum terpasanyanya relai busbar proteksi dapat disiasati dengan melakukan optimalisasi relai yang telah terpasang, untuk disetting sebagai relai adaptif proteksi busbar. Metode tersebut membutuhkan komunikasi seluruh relai yang terpasang di Gardu Induk tersebut dengan pengambilan data menggunkaan Goose Message (salah satu fungsi Protocol IEC 61850). Fitur komunikasi tersebut telah tersedia pada relai yang telah terpasang namun belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal. Dengan pemasangan relai adaptif proteksi busbar berbasis Protocol IEC 61850 diharapkan dapat mencegah pemadaman meluas di gardu induk jika terjadi gangguan pada busbar.
