PENGARUH JARAK KATUP LIMBAH DENGAN KATUP PENGHANTAR TERHADAP EFISIENSI HIDRAM

Masyarakat yang belum terjangkau listrik akan kesulitan dalam memperoleh air bersih dan harus menempuh perjalanan yang jauh . Sumber air ini bisa berada pada daerah dataran tinggi maupun rendah , jika pemukiman penduduk berada di bawah sumber air tentunya bukan masalah . Bagaimana jika, sumber air tersebut berada jauh dibawah permukaan rumah penduduk hal ini memerlukan alat yang berguna untuk menyalurkan air agar bisa di dapatkan dengan mudah oleh penduduk . Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkanlah sebuah pompa air , namun karena suplai listrik yang belum tentu tersedia maka dibutuhkanlah pompa tanpa energi listrik melainkan menggunakan energi air tersebut yaitu pompa hidraulik ram ( Hidram ). Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui efisiensi unjuk kerja pompa hidrolik ram dengan variasi Jarak antara katup limbah dengan katup penghantar dan Metode penelitian melalui perancangan pompa hidram dengan pengamatan pengaruh jarak katup limbah dengan katup penghantar (215 mm, 230 mm dan 245 mm). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efisiensi tertinggi pompa hidram adalah 2,88 % menurut efisiensi D’Aubuission dan 1,15 % menurut efisiensi Rankine pada jarak katup limbah dengan katup penghantar pada jarak 245 mm. Faktor Jarak antara katup limbah dengan katup penghantar berpengaruh terhadap debit pemompaan, debit buang, dan efisiensi pompa hidram.
