PEMBANGUNAN SISTEM MANAJEMEN RANTAI PASOK DALAM PROSES PRODUKSI TEH DI PT. PERKEBUNAN NUSANTARA III
Abstract
PT Perkebunan Nusantara VIII merupakan perusahaan BUMN yang bergerak pada sektor perkebunan dengan kegiatan usaha meliputi pembudidayaan tanaman, pengolahan lahan, pembibitan, penanaman, pemeliharaan dan penjualan komoditi perkebunan. salah satunya adalah produksi teh. dalam proses produksi teh terdapat beberapa proses yang harus dilakukan untuk menghasilkan teh yang siap didistribusikan namun dalam proses produksi seriingkali terjadi maslah yang mengakibatkan berkurangnya bahan yang dibutuhkan selain itu, masalah yang terjadi adalah tidak adanya sistem yang saling terhubung antara departemen satu dengan departemen lainnya untuk meminimalisir keterlambatan pengiriman produk akibat masalah yang terjadi pada saat proses produksi sedang berlangsung. Selain itu kepala bagian produksi harus melakukan pengecekan langsung kepada setiap departemen untuk memastikan jumlah barang yang sedang diproduksi sehingga menghambat pekerjaan bagian kepala produksi. Untuk mendukung dan meningkatkan proses produksi maka diperlukan suatu strategi, taktik dan operasional melalui pembangunan sistem informasi yang saling terhubung satu dengan yang lainnya. Yaitu membangun sistem yang menggunakan konsep Managemen Rantai Pasok atau (SCM) untuk meminimalisir keterlambatan pengiriman.
