Abstract

The selection of a last mile warehouse location is a strategic decision affecting distribution efficiency, operational costs, and service quality of logistics companies. A logistics company in Jakarta faces the need for warehouse relocation due to warehouse overload, the expiration of lease contracts, and increasing rental costs. This study aims to determine the best last mile warehouse location using a Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) approach through the integration of the Best Worst Method (BWM) and the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). The study uses a mixed method approach with primary data from interviews and questionnaires distributed to three respondents (a Hub Leader, a Team Leader, and an Operational Staff), covering four criteria (financial, facilities, accessibility, and legality) and eight sub-criteria. BWM is used to determine the criteria weights, while TOPSIS is used to rank three warehouse location alternatives. The BWM weighting results show that the financial criterion has the highest weight (0.692), followed by facilities (0.135), legality (0.118), and accessibility (0.055), with a Consistency Ratio of 0.0562 indicating consistent respondent assessments. The TOPSIS ranking results show Warehouse C as the best alternative (preference value 0.834), followed by Warehouse A (0.145) and Warehouse B (0.115). The integration of BWM and TOPSIS proves capable of producing objective, systematic, and consistent decisions in selecting a last mile warehouse location.
