THE LOCAL COMMUNITY INNOVATORS DEVELOPMENT METHODS AND THE CREATION OF INNOVATION FOR COMMUNITY ENTERPRISE: APPRECIATIVE INQUIRY RESEARCH

Abstract


Innovation is a crucial tool for the development of a nation. In these turbulent times, economic and social problems are resolved by technology and innovation. This research aimed to develop a   model for innovation development in local communities and the creation of innovation for community enterprises in Thailand. The target participants of this research were members of the community enterprise group in a district in the Nakhon Nayok Province of Thailand. The research methodology used was appreciative inquiry. Data was gathered through participatory observations, in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and after action review with at least 35 members of the community enterprise group, who represent each Tambon in the chosen district. Data analysis was done through thematic analysis. Trustworthiness was tested by utilizing data triangulation that included methodology triangulation was performed by confirming from interview and observation. The implications of this study offers the local community innovators development methods and the creation of innovation for community enterprise which can be effectively transfer both methods and the creation of innovation for others in the community
