PERANCANGAN SERIAL TTL TO USB HID CONVERTER

Seiring berjalannya waktu, perkembangan teknologi komputer sangat cepat, sehingga memunculkan berbagai software baru dan bermacam operating system. Sementara aktivitas manusia dalam sehari – hari tidak pernah lepas dari komputer sebagai penunjang kerja dengan operating system yang berbeda - beda. Perangkat elektronik untuk komunikasi data yang menunjang kerja manusia mayoritas tidak dapat bekerja secara langsung pada semua operating system.
Untuk itu diperlukan sebuah inovasi agar semua perangkat elektronik dapat berjalan pada semua operating system tanpa perlu tambahan software pendukung (driver). Serta data dari hasil pembacaan dapat ditampilkan pada semua software. Karena mayoritas alat yang menggunakan komunikasi data serial maka dibuatlah serial ttl to USB HID konverter agar perangkat elektronik dapat digunakan pada semua operating system dengan mudah dan murah dengan target 50 ribu rupiah. Perancangan alat dilakukan dengan menggunakan mikrokontroller atmega8 sebagai kontroller utama. Sementara pemograman menggunakan bahasa c dengan compiler menggunakan arduino ide.
Dari hasil pembuatan alat, dan setelah melalui ujicoba, alat serial to USB HID konverter dapat bekerja dengan baik pada operating sistem windows, linux, android. macintosh Sedangkan biaya pembuatan alat menghabiskan dana dengan Rp. 45.100.
