PROSES PEMBUATAN MESIN TRIBOMETER TIPE PIN ON DISK TEST BERSTANDAR ASTM G 99

Keausan merupakan sebuah cabang ilmu teknik yang mengkaji hubungan antara dua permukaan yang saling bergesekan dan mengalami kontak. Dengan besarnya kerugian yang dapat ditimbulkan oleh keausan, maka diperlukan tindakan khusus untuk dapat memperhitungkan dan menganalisa terkait keausan yang terjadi. Menganalisa keausan diperlukan sebuah perangkat atau mesin yang dapat mensimulasikan nilai keausan, yaitu mesin tribometer pin on disk. Namun, tidak tersedianya mesin tribometer pin on disk dalam lingkungan Universitas Mercu Buana khususnya pada Laboratorium Teknik Mesin menjadi permasalahan dan hambatan mahasiswa atau dosen dalam mempelajari, memperhitungkan dan menganalisa keausan pada suatu material. Ketidaktersedian tersebut dikarenakan tingginya biaya pengadaan mesin tribometer pin on disk berkisar ₹ 800.000 – 900.000 (INR / Rupee India). Semetara di Indonesia mesin tribometer yang dikembangkan, masih memiliki kekurangan pada kecepatan rotasi disk, variasi putaran dan mobilitas mesin tribometer. Dalam hal ini dilakukan pembuatan mesin tribometer pin on disk bedasarkan hasil rancangan yang telah dibuat dan disetujui dengan biaya produksi lebih rendah serta beberapa keunggulan tersebut sesuai standar internasional. Bedasarkan hal ini, standar internasional terkait pengujian keausan dijadikan acuan dan pedoman untuk menghasilkan simulasi keausan dengan baik dan valid. Standar internasional yang diterapkan ialah ASTM G 99, ASTM G 99 merupakan jenis standarisasi yang diterbitkan oleh ASTM yang mengatur pengujian keausan dengan mesin tribometer tipe pin on disk.Downloads
