Peranan Self-Efficacy dan Social Support terhadap Career Indecision pada Siswa SMA di Sekolah X

Abstract


Ketidakmampuan individu dalam menentukan pilihan pendidikan dan pekerjaan sesuai keinginannya merupakan masalah yang penting untuk diteliti, namun sedikit yang meneliti peran self-efficacy dan social support terhadap career indecision. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif korelasional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 172 siswa kelas XI di Sekolah Menengah Atas yang dipilih menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan Career indecision Scale (CIS), New General Self- Efficacy Scale (NGSE), dan The Multidimentional Scale of Perceived Social support (MSPSS). Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik regresi berganda dengan bantuan SPSS 20.00. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa adanya hubungan simultan antara self-efficacy dan social support dengan career indecision (p value = 0,001, p < 0,05). Self-efficacy berperan negatif terhadap career indecision (r2= -0.162, p< 0.05) dan berkontribusi  sebesar 16.2%. Sedangkan social support berperan negatif terhadap career indecision dan berkontribusi sebesar 17,7%. (r2=0.177, p< 0.05) Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa self-efficacy dan social support berperan terhadap  career indecision. Penelitian ini mengindikasikan pentingnya program career counseling yang terintegrasi dengan psikoedukasi untuk keluarga dan sekolah untuk memperkuat kemampuan siswa mengambil keputusan karir.
