Social Comparison Sebagai Penentu Kecemasan Sosial Pada Remaja Pengguna Media Sosial

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh social comparison terhadap kecemasan sosial pada remaja pengguna media sosial di Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif korelasional dengan pengumpulan data menggunakan kuisisioner pada remaja berusia 15-18 tahun di Jakarta yang aktif menggunakan media sosial. Menggunakan teknik sampling accidental, didapatkan 364 responden. Pengukuran variabel Social Comparison menggunakan alat ukur Iowa-Netherlands Comparison Orientation Measure (INCOM) dan variabel kecemasan sosial menggunakan alat ukur SAS-A. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik regresi linear sederhana. Hasil uji hipotesis membuktikan bahwa social comparison berpengaruh diperoleh nilai R Square sebesar 0.465 (46,5%) yang berarti terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari social comparison terhadap kecemasan sosial.
