STUDI KELAYAKAN INVESTASI PROYEK AUTOMASI PABRIK KELAPA SAWIT DI PT.XY
Abstract
PT. XY merupakan salah satu perusahaan agribisnis di Sumatera Utara yang bergerak dibidang perkebunan kelapa sawit mulai dari pembibitan, penanaman, pemanenan dan pengolahan tandan buah segar (TBS) menjadi Crude Palm Oil (CPO). Adapun luasan lahan tertanam sebesar 5,526.57Ha dengan total produksi CPO sebesar 51,360Ton. Pengolahan kelapa sawit yang digunakan masih menggunakan metode konvensional, namun persaingan industri semakin meningkat, efisiensi produksi umumnya dianggap sebagai kunci untuk sukses. Investasi berupa perancangan kontrol otomatis yang berbasiskan PLC serta visualisasi dengan SCADA System di harapkan dapat menanggulangi masalah efisiensi dan mengurangi biaya operasi pengolahan kelapa sawit. Penelitian ini membahas mengenai studi kelayakan investasi yang dilakukan oleh PT. XY. Investasi yang dilakukan perusahaan ini berupa instalasi sistem automasi pengolahan kelapa sawit, termasuk beberapa stasiun pendukung seperti power plant dan water treatment plant. Metode yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini adalah Kriteria Investasi. Prinsip kriteria investasi adalah menghitung nilai Net Present Value, Internal Rate of Return, Payback Period, dan Benefit Cost Ratio. Dari hasil analisis diperoleh bahwa investasi workshop yang dilakukan PT. XY berupa pemasangan sistem automasi untuk menjalankan bisnis dinyatakan layak untuk dilaksanakan dengan nilai NPV lebih besar dari 1 dan IRR lebih besar dari suku bunga yang dipakai (15%) dengan jangka waktu pengembalian modal (PP) lebih cepat dari umur investasi (10 tahun) dan nilai BCR lebih besar dari 1.
