KAJIAN KEARIFAN LOKAL PADA ARSITEKTUR TRADISIONAL RUMOH ACEH
Abstract
Arsitektur tradisional sebagai sebuah tradisi harus dijaga keberadaannya dengan mengembangkannya. Menjaga atau meeruskan tradisi dalam arsitektur tradisional tidak berarti dengan mengulang bentuk yang sama, karena didalam arsitektur perkembangan desain dan struktur berlanjut seiiring dengan perkembangan/ perubahan budaya dan teknologi. Hal ini perlu dijaga agar kreativitas tidak mati. Hal ini bisa terwujud dengan meneruskan tradisi kebijakan lokal sebagai konsep dalam membangun.
Kebijakan lokal yang diteruskan memberikan banyak memberi mamfaat bagi kehidupan manusia. Karena kebijakan lokal sendiri adalah bagian dari budaya yang dihasilkan dari pengalaman-pengalaman dan tindakan manusia secara trial dan eror demi mendapatkan kualitas hidup yang lebih baik. Kebijakan lokal tidak hanya merupakan suatu tradisi yang harus di teruskan tetapi membentuk identitas dak karakter kewilayahan manusia sendiri, terutama didalam budaya dan arsitektur. Kebijakan lokal ini juga menjaga keseimbangan hidup antara manusia dan lingkungannya. Nenek moyang kita belajar dari pengalaman mereka hidup bersama dengan alam dan belajar bagaimana memberi kepada dan menerima dari alam sehingga alam tetap terjaga kelestariannya. Hal-hal ini lah yang dijadikan kebijakan lokal dan tradisi ini perlu diteruskan karena dengan menjaga tradisi ini maka kita akan tetap hidup seimbang bersama lingkungan kita.

ABSTRACT
Tradition in traditional architecture need to be developed and continued. Continuing this tradition is not only by repeating it in the same way as our ancestors so that we lost our creativity, but it can be continued by developing it into something new and continuing the local wisdom as a concept in building . The local wisdom remain continued but the way we built change in shape as we can use the new methods and material which suitable with our culture and technology.
The important of continuing the local wisdom brought many advantages to our lives. It’s not only the matters of continuing the tradition but it also emphasizes our identity and characters,- especially in culture and architecture,- and to keep balancing the life between human and their environment . Our ancestors had learnt from their experiences to live with the nature, they had learnt to take and give with the nature so that they did not damaged their environment. This acts called local wisdom and it is need to be continued to keep our environtment save.
