THE EFFECT OF HUMIDITY FOR 5G PERFORMANCE CHANNEL MODEL AT 28 GHZ FREQUENCY IN PALEMBANG AREA

Abstract


The thing that underlies the development of telecommunications is requirement of speed on data usage. It will not be realized without sufficient frequency allocation for broadband implementation. Millimeter-wave frequency answers all of these requirement which have empty frequency allocation. However, the use of high frequency Millimeter-wave frequencies has new challenges. Climate factor will affect to channel propagation. Humidity is one of the climate parameters that take effect on channel propagation models. In this research, it will analyze the effect of humidity on the channel models based on Palembang city characteristics. Channel models will be represented in as combination of power and delay profile (PDP) values in data bits transmission. Channel models performance will use 3 parameters, namely Outage Performance, FER and BER. Outage Performance has implement on Shannon Capacity Theorem, while BER and FER parameters use simulations on the CP-OFDM structure models. This research is expected to produce the effect of humidity on the Channel Model and its Performance.
