Employee Performance at PT. BSI KCP Pancor: The Influence of Motivation, Compensation, and Work Environment
Keywords:
Employee Performance, Motivation, Compensation, Work Environment, Bank Syariah IndonesiaAbstract
The competition among financial institutions is intense; however, the development of Islamic financial institutions continues to show a positive trend. A fundamental challenge for Islamic banks is how to continually enhance employee performance, as high-performing employees significantly contribute to achieving the company’s goals. Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) has experienced significant growth. This study aims to examine the effects of motivation, compensation, and work environment on employee performance at BSI KCP Pancor. This research employs a quantitative approach with a correlation method. Data were collected using the saturated sampling method, and multiple linear regression was used for analysis. The sample comprised 30 respondents, all of whom are BSI employees, and data were gathered through the distribution of questionnaires. The results indicate that motivation (0.032 < 0.05), compensation (0.021 < 0.05), and work environment (0.044 < 0.05) have significant and positive effects on employee performance at BSI KCP Pancor. These findings suggest that enhancing employee motivation, providing adequate compensation, and creating a conducive work environment are crucial for improving employee performance. This study provides valuable insights for bank management, particularly in understanding factors that influence employee performance. Additionally, the findings can serve as a reference for policymakers and provide useful comparisons for further research on employee performance in Islamic banks and its influencing factors. By addressing these key areas, BSI can continue to foster a productive workforce that contributes to its sustained growth and success. In conclusion, motivation, compensation, and work environment are pivotal in enhancing employee performance at BSI KCP Pancor. These elements should be strategically managed to ensure that employees are motivated, adequately compensated, and working in an environment that supports their productivity and overall performance. This study underscores the importance of these factors and offers practical recommendations for bank management and policymakers aiming to improve employee performance in the Islamic banking sector.Downloads
