KAJIAN KEBERAGAMAN ACTIVITY SUPPORT DI SEKITAR KAMPUS D UNIVERSITAS MERCU BUANA

Perkembangan sebuah pusat kegiatan akan mendorong pertumbuhan kegiatan-kegiatan pendukung lain. Pola yang sama dapat ditemui pula disekitar Kampus D1 dan D2 Mercu Buan. Namun, karena keberagaman aktifitasnya, activity support yang tumbuh saat ini menjadi menarik untuk dikaji lebih lanjut apakah kegiatan-kegiatan pendukung ini terbentuk karena keberadaan Kampus D1 Mercubuana, ataukah mereka bertumbuh untuk mendukung permukiman dan perumahan di sekitarnya, ataukah keduanya. Pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif digunakan untuk mengkaji teori-teori Activity Support yang sudah ada untuk mengidentifikasi activity support di sekitar Kampus D1 dan D2 Mercubuana, kususnya ruas jalan Rawa Dolar. Hasil penelitian ini mengindikasikan bahwa keberadaan activity support di jalan Rawa Dolar yang semakin lama semakin berkembang memang dipengaruhi dengan keberadaan kampus D Mercubuana, baik kampus lama maupun kampus baru.
