Analisis Kinerja Jaringan LTE-Advanced Menggunakan Metode Inter-Band Carrier Aggregation di Wilayah Rancaekek

Wilayah Rancaekek merupakan salah satu wilayah potential market di Kabupaten Bandung karena letaknya yang strategis sehingga diperlukan kapasitas jaringan yang sanggup memberikan layanan data pada setiap pengguna sebaik mungkin. Namun, berdasarkan hasil identifikasi data Operating Support System yang berawal dari custumer complain di wilayah Rancaekek dari salah satu operator, terdapat lima site dengan nilai rata-rata trafik yang tinggi yang ditunjukkan dari persentase penggunaan resource block melebihi 90% yang artinya melebihi batas toleransi operator tersebut yang mengakibatkan performansi jaringan LTE di wilayah tersebut tidak optimal. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, pada penelitian ini dilakukan penerapan metode inter-band carrier aggregation pada jaringan LTE-Advanced di wilayah Rancaekek dengan menggabungkan band 1 (2100 MHz) sebesar 10 MHz dan band 3 (1800 MHz) sebesar 10 MHz. Salah satu keuntungan dari penerapan metode ini adalah dapat menjadi solusi dalam meningkatkan kapasitas jaringan di wilayah yang memiliki trafik tinggi dengan memaksimalkan sumber daya yang dimiliki oleh operator. Simulasi penerapan metode ini dilakukan dengan dua skenario. Skenario pertama dengan band 3 (1800 MHz) sebagai primary component carrier. Sedangkan skenario kedua dengan band 1 (2100 MHz) sebagai primary component carrier. Berdasarkan hasil simulasi menggunakan software Atoll 3.3, diketahui dengan adanya carrier aggregation dapat meningkatkan rata-rata Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP) menjadi -88,15 dBm dengan persentase kenaikan sebesar 3,72 %, rata-rata Signal to Interference Noise Ratio (SINR) menjadi 13,65 dB dengan persentase kenaikan sebesar 53,89 %, dan throughput menjadi 4.192 kbps dengan persentase kenaikan sebesar 181,5 %.
