PENDEKATAN LEAN THINKING DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN MENGGGUNAKAN METODE ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS UNTUK MENGURANGI NON VALUE ADDED ACTIVITIES
Abstract
Untuk memenangkan persaingan pasar maka supply chain harus menyediakan produk yang murah, berkualitas, tepat waktu, dan bervariasi. Objek penelitian ini merupakan salah satu perusahaan jasa yang bergerak pada bidang warehousing, forwarding, dan ekspedisi. Saat ini masih kurang maksimalnya pengiriman barang yang mengakibatkan keterlambatan pada proses pengiriman, sebagai contoh menunggu pada proses pengiriman dokumen antar departemen. Tujuan dari penelitian ini dengan mengevaluasi proses penerimaan order sampai dengan proses pengiriman barang dengan menggunakan pendekatan lean thinking dengan menggunakan metode Root Cause Analysis (RCA). Berdasarkan analisa pemetaan kuesioner pada identifikasi waste, ditemukan beberapa waste kritis pada tiap-tiap departemen seperti waiting dan motion, 63% aktivitas tersebut di nilai sebagai aktivitas value added dan 15% sebagai aktivitas non value added bagi perusahaan. Hasil persentase tersebut didapat dengan melihat implementasi 8 waste yang terjadi pada perusahaan jasa. Setelah diketahui beberapa aktivitas non value added didapatkan beberapa perbaikan dengan menggunakan metode Root Cause Analysis dengan membuat factor causal table yang didapatkan 5 altenatif solusi yang pantas untuk diterapkan oleh perusahaan untuk mengurangi aktivitas yang tidak bernilai tambah.
