Abstract

This study aimed to examine the factors that affect the performance of short term stocks in companies that conduct IPO in Malaysia Capital Market.  The fundamental factors used are Current Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, Return on Equity and Assets Turn Over.

            The population in this study is a company which IPO in Malaysia Capital Market 2010-2011. Short term stock performance was measured by calculating (1) stock return on the first month in the secondary market, and (2) avarege monthly return for three months in the secondary market. The results showed that Return on Equity have consistently positive significant effect on short terms performance for one month and three months after IPO.    Assets Turn Over has significantly effects the short-term stock performance on the three months after IPO.
