The Indonesian Version of Digital Well-Being Scale:  Validation Study using Rasch Model

Abstrak

The limited research on digital well-being and the absence of a dedicated digital well-being instrument in Indonesia led to this study. The research adapted the Digital Well-Being Scale (DWBS) into an Indonesian version, focusing on achieving good validity and reliability. Digital well-being emerges as a solution to the problems and negative impacts of the digital era. It prioritizes well-being as a core focus for achieving happiness, and the search for meaning in life to ultimately reach self-actualization. This quantitative study utilized an instrument adaptation process with 78 early adult respondents aged 18-40 years. The Indonesian version of the DWBS demonstrated good validity and reliability. After a series of analyses using Rasch modeling, the final instrument consists of 10 items and 3 dimensions.
