Analisa Struktur Sasis Kendaraan Mobil Listrik BAJA SAE Dengan Metode Elemen Hingga (MEH)

Saat ini, sudah tidak perlu lagi untuk membangun model pengujian untuk setiap kondisi yang akan di uji, cukup menggunakan program computer, lalu setelahnya hasil simulasi akan keluar dan kemudain dapat ditemukan hasil yang terbaik, maka barulah model akhir bisa dibuat. Pada penelitian kali ini, proses simulasi untuk menganalisa respon dari struktur sasis kendaraan konpetisi mobil BAJA SAE dengan menggunakan Metode Elemen Hingga. Kendaraan akan di uji dengan enam kondisi pengujian, yaitu Pengujian tabrak depan, tabrak belakang, tabrak samping kiri dan kanan, uji terguling, uji kekuatan torsional, dan uji tabrak setengah sisi depan. Setelah mendapat Equivalent stress maka akan digunakan untuk menentukan nilai Factor of Safety dari desain sasi. Dari hasil simulasi, didapatkan total deformasi sebagai berikut : tabrak depan (5.69 mm), tabrak belakang (3.66 mm), tabrak samping kiri dan kanan (8.09 mm Dan 8.06 mm) , uji terguling (5.34 mm), uji kekuatan torsional (23.53 mm), uji tabrak setengah sisi depan (1.78 mm). Didapatkan juga hasil equivalent stress sebagai berikut : tabrak depan (390.65 MPa), tabrak belakang (335.16 MPa), tabrak samping kiri dan kanan (452.68 MPa dan 434.21 MPa), uji terguling (239.66 MPa), uji kekuatan torsional (330.29 MPa), uji tabrak setengah sisi depan (259.83 MPa). Serta didapatkan juga nilai Factor of Safety sebagai berikut : tabrak depan (1.7), tabrak belakang (1.9), tabrak samping kiri dan kanan (1.4 dan 1.5), uji terguling (2.7), uji kekuatan torsional (2.0), dan uji tabrak setengah sisi depan (2.5). berdasarkan hasil tersebut bahwa sasis kendaraan kompetisi BAJA SAE tersebut diharapkana aman dan dapat digunakan pada perlombaan.
