Implementasi metode NIOSH dan Analisa QEC pada alat potong ranting

Abstrak Penelitian ini merupakan penciptaan teknologi baru yang sederhana dengan merekayasa sistem hidrolik dan prinsip genggaman tangan yang difungsikan sebagai alat pemotong ranting adjustable (dapat diatur panjang pendeknya) yang ergonomi, dengan panjang normal 1,5 meter, maksimal 3 meter. Berat 2,8 kg, panjang jangkauan genggaman 94 mm dan diameter gagang 52 mm. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisa ergonomi untuk mengetahui kesesuaian alat dengan manusia yaitu dengan pengambilan 95 persentil. Di dapat diameter genggaman tangan 54, 29 mm sedangkan untuk lebar telapak tangan adalah 97,87 mm, tekanan maksimal yang diperlukan untuk memotong ranting adalah 234,39 kg/cm2 dengan diameter 5 mm yaitu jenis ranting kakao. Sedangkan dengan analisa NIOSH didapat berat yang disyaratkan adalah 4,89 Kg, kemudian dengan metode QEC didapat level presentase skornya paling tinggi adalah 47,62. artinya diperlukan perbaikan untuk alat tersebut dalam waktu kedepan. Untuk pembebanan kerja agar tidak letih dengan waktu kerja 8,40 menit dan istirahat 7,14 menit.Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa alat tersebut masih harus diperbaiki dalam waktu kedepan, sedangkan penggunaannya cukup singkat dan hanya difungsikan untuk pamanenan cengkeh saja serta pemanenan yang lain yang sejenis dengan diameter maksimal (1 cm) saja.
