Abstract

Objectives: With regard to smart hotels, this study seeks to assess the relationship between technological readiness, amenities, perceived usefulness, and ease of use as well as visiting intentions. It also seeks to pinpoint the precise elements of technology amenities that have a major influence on guests' intentions to visit, fill in knowledge gaps in the literature, and suggest a more thorough framework for comprehending guest behaviour in Smart Hotel impact.

Methodology: This study employs a type of survey studies using quantitative methodologies. The participants in this study were visitors to a five-star hotel in Jakarta. Using the purposive sampling method, which yielded 290 samples from the population that was most easily accessible to the researchers, the sample size was determined. A Google Forms link was sent to visitors via WhatsApp in order to collect primary data through a questionnaire. Partial square analysis was then used to examine the data in order to do structural equation modelling.

Finding: The study’s model reveals that technology readiness significantly affects perceived ease of use, although it has no direct influence on perceived usefulness or visiting intentions. Conversely, technology amenities exert a direct positive effect on perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and visiting intention. The model further shows that perceived ease of use serves as a mediating variable, enhancing the impact of technology readiness on visiting intentions, while perceived usefulness mediates the relationship between technology amenities and visiting intentions. These findings underline a nuanced model where specific technology factors and mediators drive guest behaviour towards smart hotels, providing a comprehensive framework for understanding guest preferences in technologically enhanced hotel environments variable.

Conclusion: This study presents a novel model for understanding smart hotel visiting intentions, highlighting how technology amenities directly influence perceived ease of use, usefulness, and visiting intentions, while technology readiness impacts visiting intentions indirectly through ease of use. This integrated model clarifies both direct and mediated effects, offering a comprehensive view of guest behaviour in technology-enhanced hotels. Future research can apply this model to other hospitality settings for broader insights. intentions.
