Objectives: This study aims to examine the effect of transformational leadership and work-life balance on employee productivity, with work motivation as a mediating variable in the banking sector. The objective is to identify both the direct and indirect relationships among these variables in enhancing employee performance.
Methodology: This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected through structured questionnaires distributed to employees in the banking sector. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, and the data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Partial Least Squares (PLS) to test the proposed hypotheses.
Finding: The findings reveal that transformational leadership and work-life balance have significant positive effects on employee productivity. Additionally, both variables significantly influence work motivation. Work motivation itself has a strong positive effect on employee productivity. Furthermore, the results indicate that work motivation partially mediates the relationship between transformational leadership and employee productivity, as well as between work-life balance and employee productivity.
Conclusion: In conclusion, employee productivity is influenced by both external factors, such as leadership and work-life balance, and internal factors, namely work motivation. Therefore, organizations are encouraged to implement effective transformational leadership practices and promote work-life balance to enhance employee motivation and achieve optimal productivity.References
