PEMODELAN DETERMINAN NIAT BERWIRAUSAHA DAN EFEK PENGARUH EDUKASI KEWIRAUSAHAAN DI KALANGAN MAHASISWA

Abstract. Entrepreneurial intentions among undergraduates students need deeper study
in order to reveal entrepreneurial intention formation model, intention determinant
variables, and how those variables interact each other that affect intention formation
process and intention strength level. Personal attitudes and social norms are the most
important variable influencing entrepreneurial intentions, besidesperceived behavioral
control. These three variables are the most important entrepreneurial intentions
determinant variable that direcly are influenced by personal beliefs about these factors.
Entrepreneurship educations are aimed to change all personal beliefs to be more
positive to entrepreneurial activity so we could find strong entrepreneurial intentions
among undergraduate students. Empirical test show that entrepreneurship education
significantly influence personal attitude dan perceived behavior control to be more
favorable in developing entrepreneurship edcuation

Abstrak. Niat berwirausaha di kalangan mahasiswa memerlukan studi yang dapat
mengungkap model pembentukan niat, variabel-variabel yang menjadi determinan niat
serta bagaimana interaksi antar variabel tersebut menentukan proses pembentukan niat
dan kekuatan niat yang dihasilkannya. Sikap personal dan norma sosial terhadap
aktivitas entrepreneurial menjadi dua faktor yang sangat menentukan pembentukan niat
berwirausaha selain kepercayaan terhadap kemampuan diri sendiri yang menjadi faktor
ketiga yang secara bersamaan menentukan niat wirausaha. Ketiga faktor penentu niat
tersebut pada gilirannya sendiri dipengaruhi oleh beliefs yang dimiliki seorang individu
terhadap masing-masing faktor itu. Pengaruh dari edukasi kewirausahaan yang ada di
kampus diduga dan dimaksudkan memang untuk dapat mengubah dan mengarahkan
seluruh beliefs menjadi lebih positif terhadap aktivitas entrepreneurial sehingga niat
berwirausaha dapat terbentuk lebih kuat di kalangan mahasiswa. Hasil uji empirik
menunjukkan edukasi kewirausahaan secara signifikan memengaruhi pembentukan niat
berwirausaha
