PENINGKATAN CYCLE TIME PROSES MESIN DRAWING TEMBAGA DENGAN METODOLOGI SMED PADA INDUSTRI KABEL DI TANGERANG

Metode Single Minutes Exchange of Dies (SMED) merupakan salah satu tool dari lean manufacture yang bisa memisahkan kegiatan changeover model atau setup menjadi dua aktifitas, yaitu internal setup dan external setup. Dengan mengubah internal setup menjadi external setup dan mengurangi elemen kegiatan internal setup maka akan terjadi penurunan waktu prosesnya. Pada industri kabel di tangerang metode SMED di terapkan pada proses operation mesin line drawing tembaga . Besarnya downtime mesin line drawing tembaga yang terjadi pada saat sebelum penerapan SMED adalah 24.92 menit. Setelah dilakukan penerapan SMED dan dengan analisa fishbone dalam melakukan improvement pada beberapa tahapan proses operation ternyata mampu menurunkan waktu menjadi 15.16 menit atau persentase penurunan waktu operation menjadi 39.16 % . Ini mengakibatkan kenaikan output setiap shift dari 11 bobbin menjadi 16 bobbin atau meningkat menjadi 15 bobbin tiap hari atau 360 unit bobbin tiap bulan. Dan dari keuntungan hasil waktu proses produksi ini adalah sebesar Rp 1.788.516.277 per bulan.
