Objectives: This study aims to examine the influence of Dynamic Leadership on Business Transformation, with Organizational Commitment as a mediating variable, among employees in Indonesia’s energy sector, particularly at PT Pertamina (Persero), amid technological disruption and the transition toward Net Zero Emissions (NZE) 2060.
Methodology: This study adopts an explanatory quantitative approach using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The proposed framework focuses on three constructs: Dynamic Leadership, Business Transformation, and Organizational Commitment. The model is designed to assess both the direct effect of Dynamic Leadership on Business Transformation and its indirect effect through Organizational Commitment.
Findings: The proposed framework establishes Organizational Commitment as a potential mediating mechanism linking Dynamic Leadership to Business Transformation. However, the significance and magnitude of these relationships require empirical testing using data collected from employees.
Conclusion: This study provides a conceptual foundation for understanding how adaptive and proactive leadership may facilitate business transformation by strengthening employees’ organizational commitment. The framework offers potential implications for leadership development and sustainable transformation strategies in Indonesia’s energy sector.
